Dettaglio eventi

Greater & Greener is the leading international conference for urban park leaders, city planning and design professionals, public officials, advocates, funders, and innovators to explore the issues, challenges, and opportunities facing today’s urban parks.

Presented by City Parks Alliance, and held every two years in a major North American city, Greater & Greener increases awareness of the positive impact that parks and green spaces can have on our urban communities. Bringing together more than 1,000 leaders from the urban parks community, Greater & Greener explores how urban parks can be designed, developed, programmed, funded and sustained to meet future demands. By broadening the discussion and relevance of urban parks to engage leaders from health, science, technology, and other sectors, Greater & Greener aims to inspire participants to re-imagine parks in a new context of economic, environmental and social opportunities. Parks are directly relevant to regional ecosystems, community health needs, public-private partnerships, sustainable development, neighborhood equity and shifting demographics.

The San Francisco Bay Area is a shining example of how creativity and innovation can be applied to park systems for the benefit of urban communities. With this spectacular urban park system as our outdoor classroom, we’ll explore the latest innovations in urban park creation, management, and stewardship.

From conference hub at the Westin St. Francis in the heart of San Francisco’s Union Square, participants will learn and network through expert-led tours, hands-on workshops, inspiring speakers, and special events – while connecting with peers from cities around the world.
